We had heard that Vernal Utah had a few areas that we had to explore. Vernal of all places??? Well yes, we loved our short weekend in Vernal. We spent time a half day in Fantasy canyon which was incredibly fun and funny enough was located in the middle of an oil field. Afterwards we went to Dinosaur national monument and we saw a bald eagle, which was the second one that we saw that say. We then ate food at a wonderful Mexican restaurant, Plaza Mexicana, that night. We booked a room at a hotel called a microtel, who new it was inexpensive, nice, but very small. We had fun packing all of our kids into nooks and spare spaces of the room.
The next day we went to Moonshine arch. It was a short mile hike and was a very fun place to spend an afternoon.
